Difference Between a normal cell phone & a Smart Phone..!!!

We all know what a cell phone is but what is a Smart Phone & how is it different from a normal Cell phone.
By history , the cell phone was introduced in 1973 by Motorola and the Smart Phone was introduced in 1992 by IBM.


1. A Smart Phone has an operating system while a cell phone doesnt have any..Some of the operating systems that Smart Phone uses are WINDOWS MOBILE, iPHONE OS, GOOGLE'S ANDROID, SYMBIAN OS,RIM'S BLACKBERRY, Palm's Web OS, LINUX.


2.Another basic requirement of a Smart Phone is its Keyboard.
It looks like a computer keyboard and is called as QWERTY keyboard.

It may be keys below the display or embedded in software as Touch Screen types.




3.A cell phone can send or receive TEXT, PICTURE,VIDEO messaging and E-Mail too. But a Smart phone goes a step further by SYNC-ing itself with the e-mail server of your service provider(Airtel, Aircel etc..)
